Job Description

As a Senior Staff Accountant you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records supporting month-end close processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will play a key role in financial reporting and operational efficiency for growing businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Month-End & Year-End Close: Prepare and post journal entries assist in financial statement preparation and reconcile accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights into company performance.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight: Support AP and AR functions ensuring timely processing and reconciliations.
- Variance Analysis: Assist in budgeting forecasting and variance analysis to support strategic financial decisions.
- Audit & Compliance: Support external and internal audits by preparing documentation and ensuring adherence to financial regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in accounting operations and reporting.
Key Qualifications:
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and precision in financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Tech Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks NetSuite or ERP systems) and strong Excel skills.
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with finance teams auditors and leadership.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- Degree: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Certification: CPA or actively working toward certification is a plus.
