CanyonVet New Braunfels is looking for aVeterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You
As a Vet Tech youll play an important role in pets lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests to surgery assistance to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Obtain patient history and provide client education
- Maintains animal records
- Assist doctors with appointments and surgeries
- Help with the check in/check out process
- Restraining pets
- Administer medications and vaccinations
- Place IV catheters
- Perform blood draws
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Maintain supplies and equipment
- Completes laboratory tests and diagnostics
- Maintains safe and clean environment
- Performs any other duties as assigned
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Veterinary technician licensure preferred not required
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Must be able to communicate effectively with clients doctors management and hospital personnel
- Is self-motivated
- Able to multitask
- Has a desire to help animals and people
- Must have attention to detail
