We are looking for a talented junior AI Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in the development of innovative AI-driven software solutions for the nuclear fuel industry. In this role you will work closely with a cross-functional team of engineer and scientist to design develop test and maintain AI-powered applications that address challenges within our business and our clients most pressing challenges. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for staying up to date with the latest advancements in AI and its applications in the nuclear technology sector.

Your contribution for a carbon-free future
As a junior AI software engineer here with us you will collaborate with team members to design develop and maintain high-quality AI-driven software solutions for the nuclear power industry. Among other things this means that you will:
- Write clean efficient and maintainable code using industry-standard languages and frameworks.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis design development testing and deployment.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and incorporate them into our development processes as appropriated.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
The role is placed in Sweden Vsters with the option to work remotely a few days per week.

To be a good match for this role we believe that you have excellent communication skills as well as strong analytic and problem-solving skills. You have experience in developing AI solutions and are passionate about learning and staying current with new AI technologies and development practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python Rust JavaScript C# etc.).
- Experience with developing AI solutions.
- Experience with popular AI frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow PyTorch Keras).
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g. Agile Scrum Kanban).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Understanding of software design patterns and principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for learning and staying current with new AI technologies and development practices.
Meritorious
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g. HTML CSS JavaScript).
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Understanding of nuclear engineering concepts and principles.
