Job Description

CMT a Utah based materials engineering company is seeking a Construction Testing Technician in the West Valley City Laboratory. We provide value-based services to clients and are looking for individuals who are interested in building their career in the field of construction materials testing inspection geotechnical and civil engineering.

This is not a medical laboratory

There are full-time (40 hour/week) positions available.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive construction materials: soils aggregates concrete and test their physical and mechanical properties.
  • Testing includes: Moisture content Sieve Analysis Atterberg Proctor Consolidation Direct Shear Compressive Strength.
  • Record data and report to laboratory manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Able to lift 60 pounds
  • Have a strong ethic

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of similar experience
  • ACI WAQTC certifications
  • College level education in civil engineering or geology
