As the General Manager at Trace Medical youwill oversee the daily operations of a biomedical equipment repair and maintenance facility. This individual will be responsible for managing staff ensuring high-quality service delivery maintaining compliance with industry regulations driving operational efficiency and supporting strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management team leadership and knowledge of medical equipment service and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction to all facility operations including service logistics customer support and administration.
Manage and mentor cross-functional teams including biomedical technicians warehouse staff and administrative personnel.
Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations safety standards and quality control procedures.
Maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring timely accurate and high-quality repair and maintenance services.
Oversee inventory control vendor management procurement and parts ordering.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to improve performance and efficiency.
Prepare and manage facility budgets forecasts and cost-control initiatives.
Collaborate with sales and business development teams to support new business opportunities and client growth.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
Ensure a clean safe and organized working environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Operations Engineering or equivalent job experience preferred.
MBA or advanced degree or equivalent job experience preferred.
7 years of experience in operations or general management preferably in a healthcare biomedical or technical services environment.
Proven leadership experience with direct responsibility for managing teams and P&L performance.
Strong understanding of biomedical equipment and service processes is highly desirable.
Excellent communication organizational and analytical skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (Rootstock) Microsoft Office Suite and logistics or maintenance tracking software.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
Work Environment:
This role is based on-site in a repair facility with office and warehouse space.
Regular interaction with technicians clients and external vendors.
May require occasional travel to client sites or regional offices.
