POSITION SUMMARY: An Engineering Intern is a hands-on position working under the direction of the Engineering team to assist and perform basic manufacturing engineering duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in key engineering projects including:
- Designing and maintaining manufacturing documentation including work instructions.
- Assisting with simple modeling for fixturing and tooling.
- Dispositioning of non-conforming material including investigating the root cause and implementing corrective action.
- Utilizing MRP/ERP system to update manufacturing routers and bills of material.
- Conducting time studies to update standards and identify OFIs.
- Modifying QMS documents.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and sequences.
- Ability to read and understand technical blueprints and drawings.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and Solid Works.
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.
