Position: Tax Director
Location: Bluffton SC
Job Type: Full time Permanent with Direct client
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients that encompass complex projects to meet the needs of small businesses and neighbours in the community providing superior client service in the areas of individual and business taxation.
- Lead and manage client engagements from start to finish ensuring they are completed within the defined budget and timeline.
- Provide continuous and proactive communication with clients striving to exceed expectations.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax operations offer thoughtful solutions and enhancements to our processes.
- Coordinate with team members on all phases of the tax engagement.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback training and mentoring to leveraged team members based on review of work.
- Own the financial performance of your engagements including billing and budget for assigned projects.
- Contribute to practice development efforts by garnering industry referrals and engaging with the community through active involvement in the Bluffton community to represent WebsterRogers and explore market growth opportunities.
- Stay up to date with tax law changes and accounting related developments and best practices.
Requirements:
- CPA (it is required)
- A desire to positively contribute to our team and our clients
- 12 years of progressive experience in public accounting reviewing both individual and business taxation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information simply
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with and a desire to manage multiple client engagements and teams
