Are you ready to power the future of flight Were looking for an experienced and analytical Performance and Dynamics Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team and play a key role in shaping the next generation of aircraft systems.
About the Role
As a Performance and Dynamics Engineer youll work on cutting-edge Research & Technology programmes new product development and in-service support initiatives. Your work will directly influence how aircraft systems particularly landing gear hydraulics shock absorbers and extension/retraction systems perform under real-world conditions.
Youll build and validate models run dynamic simulations and collaborate across teams to optimise and verify complex mechanical and hydraulic systems. This is your opportunity to combine your technical expertise with real-world aerospace impact.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and run computational models at component system and aircraft level
Analyse static and dynamic loads frequency response modal stability and shimmy
Validate models against physical test data and refine simulations
Define simulation cases test requirements and pass/fail criteria
Drive design optimisation in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
Ensure performance cost and quality objectives are met across the programme lifecycle
Qualifications :
Essential Experience and Skills:
Strong knowledge of mechanical/hydraulic systems in aerospace
Expertise in multi-body dynamic modelling landing gear simulation and shock absorber analysis
Experience with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink Python MSC ADAMS AMESim EASY5
Working knowledge of FEA system loads generation and model integration
Desirable:
Familiarity with electrical systems engineering DOORS airworthiness certification
Knowledge of nose-wheel steering and vibration analysis
Qualifications:
Degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
Member of a professional engineering body is a plus

6 months FTC with potential for extension.
