Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Strategic Leadership & Financial Oversight:
- Set the strategic direction for Catering & Events aligned with hotel objectives.
- Develop and implement long-term sales service and financial goals.
- Lead revenue maximization initiatives with strong understanding of cost controls food & beverage composition and event operations.
- Analyze financial reports including P&L and month-end summaries; interpret market trends and competitor positioning.
- Develop innovative service and product offerings based on future guest trends.
Team Management & Development:
- Mentor coach and develop Catering Events and Conference Services teams to build capability and drive performance.
- Lead hiring onboarding and succession planning for the department.
- Conduct regular team performance evaluations and ensure accountability.
- Manage workloads set targets and ensure efficient resource distribution.
Operational Excellence:
- Direct the catering sales and services team to exceed guest expectations.
- Monitor and enforce consistent service standards across all event touchpoints.
- Plan and oversee the execution of all events ensuring personalization and attention to detail.
- Lead pre- and post-convention meetings and maintain strong communication with clients and internal departments.
Guest & Employee Engagement:
- Act as the primary spokesperson for Catering & Events representing the department internally and externally.
- Personally host and engage with guests to ensure a seamless and delightful experience.
- Develop personalized solutions for individual guest requirements and unique event needs.
- Foster strong sincere relationships with guests and employees to build loyalty and satisfaction.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Enhance communication across departments to align service information and guest expectations.
- Troubleshoot complex operational or revenue situations with innovative solutions.
- Attend and lead key operational meetings including stand-ups BEO reviews business reviews and one-on-one manager sessions.
Qualifications :
- Strong Leadership experience with the ability to develop measurable strategies
- Understanding of F&B profitability and cost control
- Identifying opportunities to generate more revenues
- Comfortable in forecast and budget planning
- Use of Opera
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required
