Job Description
Location: Fredericksburg VA
Shift: Days Monday Friday 9:00 AM 4:00 PM (5x8)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Assignment Duration: 9 weeks (potential for extension)
Compensation: $70/hr ($2800/week)
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations at our Long-Term Care (LTC) facility in Fredericksburg VA. The DON will be responsible for overseeing nursing services ensuring regulatory compliance supporting staff development and maintaining the highest quality of resident care.
Key Responsibilities-
Provide overall leadership and direction to the nursing department.

Supervise and support nursing staff including hiring training performance management and scheduling.

Ensure compliance with federal state and facility regulations and standards of care.

Develop implement and monitor nursing policies procedures and quality improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with physicians interdisciplinary teams residents and families to ensure continuity of care.

Oversee resident assessments care planning and appropriate documentation.

Promote a positive and supportive work environment for staff and residents.

Manage budgets and resources effectively within the nursing department.

Active unencumbered RN license in Virginia (or compact state).

Minimum of 3 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience preferably in LTC or skilled nursing.

In-depth knowledge of nursing regulations compliance and best practices in long-term care.

Strong leadership organizational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to manage staff effectively and foster a culture of excellence in resident care.

Competitive pay: $70/hour; guaranteed $2800/week.
