We are looking for a well-versed Team Leader to oversee the operations of two of our accommodation services. This permanent full-time position sees you working Monday to Friday throughout Canberra as you provide visible authentic and proactive leadership and supervision to a team of Disability Support Workers. Our offices are conveniently located in Bruce ACT and Queanbeyan NSW.

Whilst experience in the disability sector or similar industry will be well regarded your strong foundations and experience in people leadership comes first. An ability to develop your team to their full potential will be evident in your work history as will your aptitude for delivering constructive performance feedback to improve service quality.

Youre an exceptional communicator who can engage with just about anyone. Your relationship building skills sees you excel in managing and delivering on customer expectations. This includes balancing client needs with what can be complex family dynamics and handling tricky and sensitive matters with care.

You pride yourself on your eye for detail and have a proven track record of timely and accurate record keeping report writing and supporting your team to adhere to strict compliance requirements.

Lastly youre resilient empathetic and ready to make a lasting impact. This is a client-focused leadership role requiring a commitment to quality service and the ability to foster team engagement and collaboration.

What will my role entail

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of two supported independent living services.
  • Leading motivating and upskilling a team of Disability Support Workers.
  • Communicating with families carers and other organisations regarding client support needs.
  • Adhering to and educating others on care protocols reporting requirements and restrictive practices.
  • Ensuring our policies and procedures are upheld and consistently applied.
  • Using multiple systems for client management rostering record-keeping and risk management.
