Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive a courtesy vehicle to pick up or drop off customers.
  • Pick up and deliver vehicles to the dealership and back to customers.
  • Greet customers when they enter the service lane and assist them with checking in.
  • Put protective seat covers and floor mats in customer vehicles that are being checked in.
  • Drive vehicles out of the service lane and park them in the parking lot after being checked in.
  • Keep the service lane clear of vehicles so customers who are arriving can drive vehicles in.
  • Guide customers who are driving into the service lane and make sure they park vehicle in a suitable place.
  • Drive vehicles into and out of the shop including onto lifts to facilitate technicians completing the service work.
  • Present a positive andprofessional image to our customers at all times.
  • Perform various cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Check personal and group email and chat.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be 18 or over in order to be covered by our Automobile Insurance.
  • Valid in-state drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Pass a drug screen
  • Background check and MVR
  • Fun enthusiastic kind and outgoing
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Communication skills: Ability to collaborate cooperate interpret and communicate information that is not always straightforward.
  • Diversity: Treats all customers and employees with respect and without bias.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative/team setting.
  • Must speak and write English fluently Spanish and French fluency is optional but beneficial
  • Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization and effective computer skills.
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals and able to compute rate ratio and percent.

Typical Hours and Days:

Hours and days may vary but typical hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 4:45 pm. Depending on the workload for a given day the Service Manager may require a porter to stay later or may allow a porter to leave before his or her scheduled shift is over.
