DescriptionGeneral OverviewThe Technology Engineer (Power) plays a critical role in strategic technology development platform and new product development existing product support and process conformance. This position directly impacts Tektronixs strategy by driving innovation in power technologies and ensuring the successful deployment of technical platforms. The Technology Engineer (Power) reports to a Strategic Technology Manager.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic power technologies.
- Design and test electrical power hardware including isolated dc-dc converters and switch-mode power amplifiers.
- Perform circuit design simulation hardware prototyping and testing.
- Ensure compliance with high-voltage and high-current safety standards.
- Address and mitigate electrostatic magnetic and RF noise coupling mechanisms.
- Lead large-scale projects and support the integration of new technologies and processes.
- Apply advanced professional concepts and drive strategic change and improvement.
- Act as a consultant to the manager on technological possibilities limits and costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
Qualifications- Four-year technical degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Practical knowledge and over 5 years direct experience designing and implementing electrical power hardware.
- Experience in architecture circuit design simulation prototyping and testing.
- Understanding of magnetic optical wireless and capacitive power transmission techniques.
- Familiarity with multiple semiconductor technologies (Si SiC GaN etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to generate high-quality documentation.
- Prior experience working effectively with remote domestic teams.
- Willingness to undertake some travel as required.
