Cost Accountant Leading Chilled Food Manufacturer Drogheda (On-Site)
Full-time Permanent MondayFriday On-site Parking Available
Perform Recruitment is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join a highly respected chilled food manufacturing company based in Drogheda. This is a pivotal hands-on role ideal for someone with strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of manufacturing finance.
Youll play a key part in driving operational efficiencies supporting strategic decision-making and enhancing cost control processes across the business.
What Youll Be Doing
Financial & Operational Analysis

Partner with factory and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and performance gaps.

Develop and maintain detailed line and product efficiency models.

Drive performance visibility by leading KPI tracking and operational reporting.
Product Costing & Margin Management
-
Own product costing and gross margin analysis by SKU.
-
Maintain accurate BOMs and costing inputs.
-
Work with commercial and finance teams to support pricing and new product launches.

Reconcile margin analysis across financial and commercial reports.
Business Support & Project Involvement
-
Support CAPEX evaluations and provide clear financial recommendations.

Contribute to ongoing cost-reduction initiatives and systems improvement projects.

Continuously enhance reporting tools and automate processes for greater efficiency.
What Youll Need
Must-Have:

3 years in cost accounting financial planning or manufacturing finance.
-
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables data analysis simulations).

Strong experience in variance analysis budgeting and financial modelling.

Deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures and lean principles.

Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-Have:

Experience with BI tools like Power BI Qlik Sense Tableau or SQL.

Degree in Accounting Finance or related field.

Background in FMCG or food manufacturing.

Involvement in system implementations or automation projects.
