Position: Strategic Communications Manager
Classification: Exempt Full-Time
Reports to: Chief Strategy Officer
Location: Statewide
Starting Salary: $48013 - $57260 (Level I: 1-3 years experience; range determined by regional location)
$51854 - $61842 (Level II: 3 years experience; range determined by regional location)

Position Summary: The Strategic Communications Manager is responsible for leading Colorado Health Networks strategic marketing/public relations/communications planning and generating community and brand awareness through online activities media relations advertising social media and marketing activities. The Strategic Communications Manager coordinates large scale marketing campaigns for CHN consults staff in various departments on communications and marketing projects develops and revises organizational branding and communication strategies and generates creative content for a variety of programs in collaboration with various CHN staff. The Strategic Communications Manager also assists in the implementation and improvement of internal CHN communications such as organization-wide announcements and cross-region communication strategies.

Qualifications: Outstanding organizational skills are a must. Experience with marketing and communications strategy and tactical implementation required. Experience with donor cultivation event planning operations and database software preferred. Must be able to learn and effectively manage fundraising software. Experience with HIV/AIDS preferred.
Education:
Bachelors degree in marketing communications business or nonprofit management or a related program of study. Masters degree preferred.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite Canva and other marketing communications applications required. Experience with social media platforms (Meta LinkedIn X etc) required. Experience with CRM and e-mail platforms required. Experience working with basic office and database computer programs including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and the internet required. Experience with fundraising contact management or other database software preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of marketing best practices for nonprofit agencies and organizations strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communications skills including demonstrated ability to structure large amounts of information in a written document that is clear and easy to understand. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage individuals and teams in a dynamic work environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to successfully work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to organize and coordinate activities with multiple deadlines. Willingness and ability to work with diverse populations - persons living with HIV the LGBTQ community persons of various ethnic backgrounds and disenfranchised communities.
Works with computer workstations laptops servers and standard office equipment. Works with software including constituent/donor data systems word processing spreadsheet and presentation software and online systems. Communicates with partner organizations and vendors using the telephone e-mail the Internet and fax.
Works in an office environment. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery. Occasionally assists event production requiring ability to stand for up to 6 hours.May travel via automobile or airplane to offsite locations. Must have and maintain a valid Colorado drivers license and auto insurance. Requires clear speaking ability and the ability to use a telephone for extended periods. Requires ability to view a computer screen (near acuity). Requires fingering agility for keyboarding. Requires ability and willingness to work in environments where alcoholic beverages are served; ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
