Salary and Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of $115000 - $160000 annually commensurate with candidates experience and qualifications.

Position Description:
ACEC is seeking a strategic energetic and team-oriented Director of Member Recruitment to lead initiatives that grow membership across our federation of 51 state and regional Member Organizations (MOs). The ideal candidate will be a collaborative problem-solver who can think creatively and build strong internal and external partnerships to drive recruitment success.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys identifying opportunities creating innovative outreach strategies and working across departments to align efforts and maximize impact.
Duties:
- Develop implement and evaluate a comprehensive membership recruitment strategy in coordination with MOs and the Membership Committee.
- Partner with MO executives and staff to identify prospects set goals and monitor progress.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential member firms and emerging industry trends.
- Cultivate relationships with prospective member firms through strategic outreach and engagement.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations and recruitment materials that communicate the value of ACEC membership.
- Partner with ACECs Data Director to develop targeted recruitment strategies build prospect lists and analyze member data for strategic insights.
- Track recruitment metrics assess campaign performance and evaluate ROI to refine outreach efforts and maximize impact.
- Collaborate across departmentsparticularly with marketing communications and educationto support integrated outreach.
- Develop toolkits templates and best practices to support local recruitment efforts across the federation.
- Represent ACEC at key national and MO events meetings and industry conferences.
- Serve as a great teammate who brings fresh ideas supports others and thrives in a collaborative work culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business marketing communications or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
- Five or more years of experience in membership recruitment sales or business development ideally in an association setting.
- Ability to think creatively and execute outside-the-box strategies that produce measurable results.
- Proven track record in consultative membership sales with experience selling a national and federation membership model.
- Strong analytical and research skills with experience identifying market trends and prospect opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced in making persuasive presentations and communicating complex value propositions.
- Proficient in CRM and association systems reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency in NetForum a plus though not required.
- Highly collaborative and adaptable with a positive solution-focused approach.
- Familiarity with the engineering or A/E/C industry is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to travel 10 20 percent of the time.
- This role is only open to candidates currently residing in the Washington DC metropolitan area or those who are in the process of relocating.
