Environmental Health
The Environmental Health team plays a vital role in protecting public health and supporting local businesses to maintain safe and healthy environments. Our work covers a wide range of responsibilities including food hygiene and safety inspections infectious disease control and outbreak investigations occupational health and safety animal licensing and the registration of skin piercing activities. We also assess and rate food businesses under the national Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.
Environmental Health Assistant Ref: EE01925
18.5 hours per week fixed term for 12 months.
Training allowance of approx. 11828 per annum/12.26 per hour (based on a full-time allowance of 23656 per annum)
This placement involves hybrid working working at the Civic Centre and from home.
Please note: This opportunity is open to disabled applicants only.
You will help our friendly supportive Environmental Health Team with administrative tasks. This will include helping to reply to emails in a busy team mailbox helping to deal with enquiries both in writing and over the phone co-ordinating batch mailing of letters to food businesses and helping to deal with responses to online questionnaires.
You should have experience of using Microsoft packages in particular Outlook and be confident in working as part of a team to answer customer enquiries.
