Job Description

Position: Administrative Assistant

Employer: Redlands Chamber of Commerce

Status: Full-time (in-person)

Location: Redlands CA

Salary: $19- $20

Job Summary:
The Redlands Chamber of Commerce is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our office. This full-time in-person role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills excellent communication abilities and a passion for community engagement.

The Administrative Assistant will serve as a key point of contact for Chamber members staff and the Redlands community. Responsibilities include general office support event assistance member coordination and marketing communications.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Open and close the office daily
  • Manage incoming calls emails and visitor inquiries
  • Maintain accurate office records and member databases
  • Prepare agendas minutes and reports for board and committee meetings
  • Monitor and fulfill website orders and online inquiries
  • Manage office supply inventory and perform weekly errands (e.g. mailing banking supply pick-ups)

Marketing & Communication:

  • Support communications including newsletters website updates and social media posts
  • Draft promotional materials for Chamber events and initiatives
  • Help coordinate press releases and public announcements

Event Support:

  • Assist with planning and executing Chamber events (e.g. ribbon cuttings mixers community events)
  • Coordinate logistics such as vendor communication registration check-in and setup (tables chairs signage etc.)

Member & Community Engagement:

  • Provide support to existing members and onboard new members
  • Schedule ribbon cuttings and invite new members to Chamber activities
  • Gather community information and assist with public comment preparation and occasional presentations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a client-facing role (preferably in hospitality or another Chamber)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service manners and people skills
  • Highly organized detail-oriented and able to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid California Drivers License
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Hourly wage: $19$20 depending on experience
  • Full-time in-person role (Monday to Friday)
  • Mileage reimbursement available for work-related travel
