Job Summary:
The Redlands Chamber of Commerce is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our office. This full-time in-person role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills excellent communication abilities and a passion for community engagement.
The Administrative Assistant will serve as a key point of contact for Chamber members staff and the Redlands community. Responsibilities include general office support event assistance member coordination and marketing communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Open and close the office daily
- Manage incoming calls emails and visitor inquiries
- Maintain accurate office records and member databases
- Prepare agendas minutes and reports for board and committee meetings
- Monitor and fulfill website orders and online inquiries
- Manage office supply inventory and perform weekly errands (e.g. mailing banking supply pick-ups)
Marketing & Communication:
- Support communications including newsletters website updates and social media posts
- Draft promotional materials for Chamber events and initiatives
- Help coordinate press releases and public announcements
Event Support:
- Assist with planning and executing Chamber events (e.g. ribbon cuttings mixers community events)
- Coordinate logistics such as vendor communication registration check-in and setup (tables chairs signage etc.)
Member & Community Engagement:
- Provide support to existing members and onboard new members
- Schedule ribbon cuttings and invite new members to Chamber activities
- Gather community information and assist with public comment preparation and occasional presentations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a client-facing role (preferably in hospitality or another Chamber)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service manners and people skills
- Highly organized detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
- Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid California Drivers License
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
Compensation & Schedule:
- Hourly wage: $19$20 depending on experience
- Full-time in-person role (Monday to Friday)
- Mileage reimbursement available for work-related travel
