HIA is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Brisbane team providing expert guidance to Housing Industry Association (HIA) members nationally.

The Role

This role is a phone-based customer service position which involves liaising with HIA members and colleagues within HIA to provide a solution-based response to incoming enquiries. The nature of query involves provide general information and assistance to HIA members on regulatory and industrial relation matters.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

The Contracts and Compliance Business Centre Officer will:

  • provide accurate and timely advice to members on contracting and compliance issues
  • provide advice to members on industrial relations issues including rates of pay and modern awards
  • assists with the code of ethics matters and
  • respond to customer enquiries.

The ideal applicant will have the qualities of:

  • Relevant industry experience in law/contracts or industrial/ employment/ human relations or be in the process of obtaining qualifications in any of these areas
  • An understanding of current industrial relations workplace or contractual issues
  • Competent at working as part of a team as well as autonomously
  • Highly developed problem solving skills
  • High standard of customer service skills and
  • Ability to manage time effectively in order to prioritise competing workplace demands.
