Job Description
Hiring Opportunity: Clinton County Ohio
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team! Our client is a tier one supplier of Head-Up Display systems within a multitude of industries. The Mechanical Engineer would mainly be responsible for designing fixtures and machines for the manufacturing environment. They would also provide technical support for Mechanical Engineering to Maintenance and Production.
Ideal candidates will need to have 3-5 years of design experience related to manufacturing machinery and strong CAD experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design fixtures and machines for the manufacturing environment. Provide technical support for Mechanical Engineering to Maintenance and Production. Aspects of this includes:
- Ability to investigate design purchase and build machinery and jigs.
- Proficient in 3-D CAD software (Creo preferred)
- Ability to design equipment suitable for a mass production environment that fosters high product quality and consistent cycle time.
- Support existing equipment with current production new model addition.
- Basic computer hardware knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
- Ability to understand basic electrical circuit drawings and pneumatic drawings.
- Ability to support and work cross functionally with other engineering and non-engineering disciplines
- Design build and setup new equipment for production.
- Investigate & Develop New methods for Production. (R&D)
- Support Production & Maintenance with Downtime improvement on Production Equipment. Provide training for both.
- Implement Design Changes as required including machine modification.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience designing machinery and tooling for a mass production environment.
- 3D design experience.
- 3-5 years related manufacturing design experience.
- 3-D CAD training and 3 years of use.
