Looking for a self-motivated Facility Support Coordinator who is responsible for coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on various types of testing and industrial equipment (fuel oil and coolant conditioning systems; dynamometer systems and torque meters; exhaust and air handling systems; heat exchangers; valves and actuators; pressure and temperature sensors; etc.) within a powertrain testing facility. The Facility Support Coordinator will need to be comfortable interfacing with test engineers lab support groups for instrumentation and facility related issues. They will be required to work effectively with all levels of management union represented employees hardware and software engineers and outside suppliers.
The Facility Support Coordinator must be able to understand cell capabilities testing requirements and impact of open issues to effectively communicate and prioritize work for UAW skilled trades in a timely manner. Communication will be made through test cell monitoring software work orders and email. Additional responsibilities include reviewing cell usage and product testing timelines to develop and oversee a preventative maintenance schedule for the entire lab generating weekly/monthly efficiency reports and categorizing downtime causes to identify areas for continuous improvement. The Facility Support Coordinator will also be involved in management of high use consumables like test fuel engine coolant engine oil parts washer fluid etc.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree. (B.A. or B.S. preferred)
2years of experience
College education or vocational training in business technology or office management
Proficiency with office software (email scheduling word processing spreadsheets) and office equipment (copiers scanners fax machines etc.)
Ability to manage multiple tasks deadlines and priorities effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and customers
Experience in administrative roles or related fields can be beneficial
Demonstrative skills and knowledge of applied technology
Attention to detail. Ensuring accuracy in tasks and documents
Problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with office equipment and processes.
Ability to see the big picture and develop their role to facilitate efficient and robust processes
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2 years of powertrain test cell support with an emphasis on mechanical and facilities equipment
2 years of test cell instrumentation systems support
2 years of experience analyzing and defining equipment upgrades
2 years of experience with the installation of new and modified test cells particularly those involving new dynamometers and their controls
Working knowledge of AC & DC motor/drive systems
Working knowledge of battery emulators and electric vehicle testing
Additional Must Haves:
Experience in administrative roles or related field.
Proficiency with office software
Ability to manage multiple tasks deadlines and priorities effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and customers.
