SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Repair maintain alter and install work according to departmental procedure.
SUPERVISED BY:
Director of Facilities
ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS:
- Take equipment readings and maintain logs as assigned. Complete all necessary paperwork and follow up to insure that all deficiencies are corrected.
- Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance on all equipment and building systems (including but not limited to hand and power tools small appliances kitchen equipment boilers plumbing issues electrical issues HVAC equipment hand and power tools etc.).
- Assist maintenance Specialists on major repairs of equipment.
- Perform maintenance alteration and installation work.
- Preventive maintenance on building systems equipment per industry standard.
- Immediately notify the Director of Facilities of work requiring additional skill sets.
- Coordinate with maintenance specialists and school personnel.
- Research price shop and order parts.
- Repair and maintain door locks and replace cores.
- Monitor HVAC conditions through computer control system and take responsibility for resolution of the problem.
- Operate moderate sized equipment. (i.e.: Case skidster)
- Operate snow removal equipment.
- Conduct tests of emergency lighting.
- Conduct monthly fire drill.
- Carry the emergency pager and respond to emergency calls on rotational basis.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions to a person of authority.
- Keep accurate records of tools supplies and equipment assigned to your inventory.
- Conduct weekly clean up and organization of truck and shop.
- Coordinate with building custodians to keep their equipment in good working order.
- Maintain current knowledge of laws regulations and codes pertaining to assigned responsibilities.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with school district personnel.
- Plan prioritize organize and complete all tasks in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by theFacilitiesManager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Colorado drivers license and be insurable.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- 3 years of previous verifiable experience.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with school district personnel.
