CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
HIRING RANGE: $15.00 per hour
(Position is FWS Eligible)
POSITION SUMMARY
Assist faculty and students in the 3D studio arts areas when and where instructed. Assist in cleaning studio maintenance preparation of instructor demonstrations and safe operation of tools and equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
in the cleaning and general upkeep of ceramics metals and 3D/2D studios.
instructors in preparation of demonstrations materials and spaces.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher.
2. Must be enrolled at JJC in at least 6 credit hours during Fall/Spring Semester.
taken Art 104 (3D Design) Art 111 (Ceramics I)
to lift 50 lbs. in a repetitive manner.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
taken Art 240 enrolled in Art 241 (Metalsmithing and Jewelry III)
taken or enrolled in Art 112 (Ceramics II)
variable 7 hours per week during instructional periods.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. in a repetitive manner.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Primary working conditions are within an art studio environment which at times can be dusty.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: This is a student employee position that works around your class schedule. May work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. During summer and holiday breaks (Winter/Spring) may work up to 28 hours per week with supervisor approval.
