JOB TITLE: Technical expert/Project manager
TERM: 12 months
CLIENT LOCATION: Lagos Nigeria
DIVISION: Africa
REPORTS TO: CEO/Head of Card
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 8 - 10 yrs experience in Project Management
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS*

- Card payments commercial card MPGS XB send card operations
PURPOSE OF JOB
Client is one of the tier 1 Nigerian Banks that is seeking for a resource to be able to project manage the banks technical implementation of its strategic products and support go to market strategy of these products.
TASKS
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Work with Mastercard Processors and other relevant stakeholders to implement mastercard listed products
- Project manages all activities related to going live with Mastercard products
- Develop full list of activities and dependencies that need to occur
- Track activities and escalate any roadblocks
- Coordinate within Mastercard teams client and third parties to support completion of critical tasks
- Support the client set up various processes and systems to run the card business efficiently
- Support training and upskilling the client on relevant processes that need to be followed to run a card business (examples include payments 101 reconciliation settlement billing chargebacks etc)
- Oversee all aspects of projects.
- Coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.
- Set deadlines assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize the projects progress.
- Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.
- Assist in defining project scope and objectives involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Manage changes to the project scope schedule and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.
- Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
- Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.

Knowledge and Experience
Qualifications/ expectations required:
- Proven working experience in project management.
- Payment system Project management is required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Bachelors Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Payments experience acquiring and issuing
- Commercial card issuing knowledge is a plus
Mandatory Skills**
- Must be on client site/country

- Deep knowledge of payments
