  • THIS POSITION IS FOR8 HOURS PER DAY AT 205 DAYS PER YEAR.
    PAY FOR POSITION: PSE Salary Schedule Level 6 - $ 25.15 (24-25 PSE SALARY SCHEDULE)

    GENERAL SUMMARY
    This position assists the Career and Technical Education staff and teachers in coordinating program include producing a variety of correspondence and reports; maintaining and monitoring vocationalprogram budgets processing purchase orders and providing a variety of program office support.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    1. Design produce and distribute key publicatons including newsletters promotonal materials programbanners and the Annual Community Report across print and digital platorms ensuring all content anddisclosures are accurate current and aligned with department standards.

    2. Coordinate and oversee all CTE events including ABC Day Technology & Art Fair CTE Fall Advisoryand Spring Awards and Advisory Ceremony. Represent the department and collaborate with instructionalstaff to ensure full program participation and coverage.

    3. Manage and enhance the CTE social media presence; collaborate with instructional staff to develop andpublish consistent strategic content.

    4. Provide support in schools for teachers; facilitating material and equipment needs capturing events in theclassroom for possible social media use supporting robotics events on site. This may require use ofpersonal vehicles.

    5. Facilitate the CTE certification process; maintain accurate records of certifications and expiration datescoordinate with HR and educational institutions and organize CPR training opportunities.

    6. Administer all robotics programs (FRC FTC FLL); coordinate with coaches on registration of teamsscheduling and procurement of supplies.

    7. Manage Career & Technical Student Organizations to ensure all documentation is current and correct.

    8. Communicate critical information regarding meetings schedules and procedures to staff and industrypartners to support Work-Based Learning initiatives.

    9. Deliver comprehensive clerical support to CTE administrators and teachers on special assignments.

    10. Responds to emails phone calls and in person inquiries pertaining to Career and Technical Education(CTE) matters including visits to school buildings to address matters during work hours.

    OTHER FUNCTIONS
    10. Provides additional support with a variety of backup and peak load support to the CTE Department includinganswering telephones assisting office visitors additional filing and other office duties as needed or as assigned.

    11. May serve on various district committees and/or departmental work teams. Models appropriate and cooperativebehavior including protecting confidential information consistent with district ethical guidelines.

    12. Performs related duties consistent with scope and intent of the position.

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
    Reports to the Director and/or Assistant Director of Career and College Readiness.

    MENTAL DEMANDS
    Required to shift multiple demands and tasks; requires concentration and attention to detail.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    Required to sit for prolonged periods; exposed to visual display terminal for prolonged periods; dexterity andprecision required in the operation of a computer.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    Education and Experience
    Education training skills and experience necessary to carry out the assignment including training in accountingprocedures and general office procedures and three (3) years of office experience involving accounting andcommunications. Working knowledge and experience in Career and Technical Education preferred.

    Allowable Substitutions
    College course work in accounting/bookkeeping or related field may substitute for up to two (2) years of therequired experience on a year-for-year basis; and such other alternatives to the above qualifications that the districtmay find appropriate and acceptable.

    Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
    Ability to read write speak and communicate effectively. High-level keyboarding and data entry skills. Ability to operate a computer and learn the operation of specific software programs including word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of effective English usage grammar and punctuation. Skill in effective writing. Ability to establish and maintain accurate records. Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting concepts. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff students parents and the public. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

    Licenses/Special Requirements
    Requires fingerprinting and background check to determine that there have been no convictions involving physicalmolestation abuse injury or neglect of a minor. Must complete training in and adhere to district infection controlplan.
