Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in instrumentation works on industrial or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret instrumentation drawings such as loop diagrams hook-up drawings and wiring schematics.
  • Familiarity with international instrumentation standards (e.g. ISA IEC).
  • Proficient in field instrumentation testing tools and software.
  • Strong leadership organizational and communication skills.
  • Certification in safety (e.g. OSHA NEBOSH) is an advantage.

Purpose:

  • The Area Superintendent (Non-Process) is responsible for overseeing and managing all non-process construction activities within a designated area of the construction site. This includes coordinating field operations supervising the work and ensuring compliance with safety quality and environmental standards and ensuring that the work is completed on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the installation of instrumentation systems including sensors transmitters analyzers control panels and cabling.
  • Ensure instrumentation works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings project specifications and standards (e.g. ISA IEC).
  • Coordinate with engineering construction and QA/QC teams for inspections testing and quality control of instrument systems.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with project schedules and productivity targets.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure safety compliance and work quality.
  • Prepare and maintain daily progress reports resource utilization and material tracking.
  • Participate in loop checking functional testing and commissioning activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve field issues related to instrumentation installation or system integration.
  • Enforce and promote site safety protocols and best practices.
  • Assist in preparing red-line mark-ups and as-built documentation.
