ELEMENTARY COLLABORATIVE SUPPORT AND LEARNING SUPPORT TEACHER
Daaxiigan S ada Ne K-12 School
An employment opportunity exists for a TEMPORARY Part-Time (0.6 FTE) Elementary Collaborative Support and Learning Support Teacher effective September 1 2025 to June 30 2026 at Daaxiigan Sada Ne K-12 School.
Requirements:
- A university teaching major or its equivalent directly related to the teaching position;
- Understanding and being committed to the calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation commission including the eradication of existing and persistent equity gaps for specific groups of children;
- The focus of this role will be to collaborate with classroom teachers to co-plan co-teach and co-assess for personalized student learning;
- Be prepared to provide support in creating inclusive learning environments where students are connected supported engaged and challenged;
- High level of skills related to successful classroom management and to the development and maintenance of a positive classroom climate;
- Experience with multi-grade classes an asset;
- Demonstrated ability to plan organize instruct and evaluate learning activities for students strengths and for their academic social emotional and behavioural needs;
- Assume responsibility for the development and execution of Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Support Plans;
- Knowledge of school-based teams;
- Proven interpersonal skills work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students teachers education assistants parents and administrators;
- Understanding of local resources and environment;
- Teacher Regulation Branch certification.
Remote and Rural Allowance: $1821per annum
Travel Allowance: $682 per annum
