Job Description

Get to Know the Team

The team is composed of regional experts and deep local market operators across Southeast Asia. We are looking to put together the best team that is characterized by industry expertise and local market depth. The team will initiate managing and troubleshooting for any initiatives related to the movement of payments both within and outside of the Grab platform. The team will also be in charge of building relationships with regulators and partners to build a collaborative payments ecosystem.

Get to Know the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager for Payments to join our team in Pasig City Philippines. As a key member of our team you will be responsible for helping develop our payments strategy strengthening our relationships with key partners and stakeholders (e.g. payment providers e-wallets credit card firms digital banks financial institutions regulatory bodies) and identifying growth opportunities to help expand revenue streams.

You will directly report to the Head Payments for Grab Financial Group (GFG).

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Co-own and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the payments department
  • Help develop and execute the companys payments strategy aligning it with business objectives
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders including financial institutions payment providers and regulatory bodies
  • Analyze payment trends market dynamics and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities
  • Manage teams to execute special projects and initiatives that aim to expand revenue streams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer payment experience
  • Support the implementation and management of payment systems and technologies
  • Prepare and present regular reports on payment operations performance and strategic initiatives to senior management

Qualifications :

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Business Administration or related field; Masters degree or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of financial services experience with a focus on fintech and digital payments.
  • In-depth knowledge of payment processing financial technologies and industry trends
  • Excellent strategic planning and project management skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in data analysis reporting and financial modeling
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Payments Professional) are a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapt to changing industry landscapes
