POSITION:SUMMERADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
This is a SUMMER TEMPORARY position located at the Family & Community Engagement Center.
Will assist staff with student registrations and medical compliance for the district.
The assignment will last approximately 8 weeks - 7/7/25- 8/29/25 (flexible).
The work schedule will be 30 hours per week and hours/days will be agreed upon at the time of hire.
Multi-lingual preferred. Fluencies in Portuguese and/or Spanish.
JOB GOAL: To facilitate and support the efficient operations of the administrative office(s).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate with courses in business and/or office procedures. Associate Degree preferred.
- Proficient in word processing use of office machines computer operations to include use of internet email calendars spreadsheets.
- Experience with student information systems preferred (Aspen).
- Ability to interact with staff students parents and the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prior experience as an administrative assistant preferred.
- Prior experience in medical field or doctors office and using SNAP information system preferred.
REPORTS TO: Principal or administrator who is immediate supervisor.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively manage/coordinate simultaneous projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks in a detail-oriented and thorough manner. Works with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively and confidentially via phone and email.
- Perform duties in a professional courteous and accurate manner.
- Assist supervisor with organization of various events publications and projects e.g. file sharing and presentation software.
- Maintain well-organized accurate records and files.
- Support maintenance of student data systems and student/staff records (e.g. student information systems web-based registration staff attendance staff employment forms/reports) when
- Maintain confidentiality of all student and staff information.
- Manage supervisors correspondence appointments and calendar
- Greet and assist public and substitute staff.
- May be required to prepare payroll records and accounts receivable/payable in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
- Implement school district policies guidelines rules and regulations pertinent to the position as directed.
- Attend and apply professional development to practice.
- Maintain and order school supplies when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor in accordance with collective bargaining agreement.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Typical office conditions: sitting bending stooping filing occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds of office supplies/files. Close vision at or correctable to normal range.
