Are you enthusiastic caring and committed to the wellbeing of children We are looking for a dedicated Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA) to join our supportive team and help make lunchtime a safe enjoyable experience for all pupils.

Silverwood School Chippenham campus is a specialist setting supporting children and young people aged 411 with a wide range of complex needs. Our school provides tailored inclusive education designed to help each pupil thrive.

About the role:

• Supervise children during the lunch break both in the dining area and outside in the playground
• Encourage positive play and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
• Prepare food and help the pupils eat a nutritious meal
• Support pupils in developing good manners and social skills during lunchtime
• Help manage minor incidents and report and concerns to the relevant staff

We are seeking a passionate caring and patient MDSA who thrives on making meaningful connections and plays an important part in the child daily routine and who:

• Has a kind calm and friendly manner
• Enjoys working with children contributing to their development
• Is reliable punctual and able to work as part of a team
• Has experience working in a school or with children (preferred but not essential training will be provided)
