We are currently inviting applications for the role of:

Grounds Person

The role

The Grounds Person is a member of the broader Facilities Teams contributing to a high level of grounds maintenance and presentation across the school. Under the direction of the Grounds Team Leader the role:

  • Undertakes proactive day-to-day grounds maintenance
  • Contributes to garden improvements/makeovers irrigation and soft landscaping projects
  • Supports the broader Facilities Team with general maintenance and providing support for function and event setups

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and experience in overall grounds and garden maintenance
  • A strong working knowledge of work health and safety practices as they relate to grounds maintenance
  • A high level of attention to detail ensuring a high level of presentation of the school grounds
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met
  • A high level of energy and physical capability to perform the required tasks in an outdoor environment
  • A positive attitude high level of flexibility and well-developed interpersonal skills

This is a full-time role across the full year. Some flexibility with hours may be available and participation in a rotational Saturday roster and/or on call responsibilities will be required.
