JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist II is responsible for labor relations onboarding policy implementation training disciplinary action employment law compliance and overall HR Support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage new hire updates compensation changes benefit enrollments leave updates employee recognition and retention incentive programs and other maintenance. Promote and enforce a healthy work environment by educating employees on benefits.
- Conduct periodic audits of information to ensure accuracy/compliance. This includes meeting preparing information and representing human resources during the customer social compliance audits.
- Partner with the factory General Manager by preparing HR reporting to include time management turnover hires and headcount.
- Partner with the factory Supervisory Team and General Manager in the consistent management of employee relations issues.
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings terminations investigations and respond to Union grievances or employee concerns. Maintain accurate record and maintenance of corrective action database.
- Consult with employees to ensure human resource practices policies and programs are consistent with company policy.
- Recommend policy changes which align with the business strategy and depict best practices in the industry.
- Coordination of employee events such as open enrollment holiday parties and annual flu shot drive.
- Manage employee badge system with coordination from IT and other HR Generalists.
- Coordination of employee documentation including but not limited to: new hire enrollment forms offer letters personnel action forms and termination paperwork.
- Assist in the administration of the payroll process by processing timesheet modifications and maintaining UltiPro Time Clock Punches. Reinforce best practices to timesheet approvers to ensure timely and consistent time reporting.
- Support and facilitate the Company Compensation Structure and Process including the performance management process.
- Partner with our Talent and Compensation Analyst to deliver performance management compliance and soft skills training.
- Partner with our Talent Acquisition/Recruiter in new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of ATC History benefit plans HR policies and Union enrollment.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the company Handbook to stay current on the changing requirements and policies to abide by law.
- Approval for Employee changes within the HRIS systems including but not limited to: New Hire Approvals Management changes Personal Data Changes Changes to Earnings and Deductions and PTO Approvals.
- Responsible for all OSHA recording including but not limited to: investigation reporting and follow up.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Human Resources Business other related field or equivalent work experience required
- Ability to exercise good judgement and integrity with sensitive information.
- Minimum of 2-4 years experience in Human Resources
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience in employee relations payroll benefits and open enrollment
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
- Experience in a HRIS preferably UltiPro
- Knowledge of Federal State and Local employment laws and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational time management and people skills
- Ability to adapt to needs within a growing HR department

- Frequent use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions and work on a computer
