Manager of Digital Learning
Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School is a single-building district serving approximately 1350 students and 250 staff members. The Manager of Digital Learning plays a leadership role in promoting meaningful innovative and equitable use of instructional technology across all academic and vocational programs. This twelve-month full-time position supports teachers staff and students by modeling best practices coaching educators and leading professional development that enhances curriculum instruction and assessment. The Manager of Digital Learning also supports district planning policy development and system oversight to ensure students graduate with the digital literacy and skills needed for success. This position reports to the Administrator of Technology & Facilities and the Principal/Deputy Director.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in education or a related field required; Masters degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years in an educational technology or instructional leadership role
- Prior classroom teaching experience strongly preferred
- Google Educator Certification preferred
- Proficiency with Google Workspace Google Classroom Aspen and instructional tools
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills

- Instructional Leadership and Integration
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate digital tools into curriculum and instruction
- Model best practices in digital learning personalization and student engagement
- Identify and align resources to DESE DLCS standards and vocational curriculum frameworks
- Support digital citizenship initiatives and equitable access
- Co-teach and design tech-enhanced lessons in academic and vocational classrooms
- Work with curriculum leaders to expand technology-based learning opportunities
2. Professional Development and Educator Support
- Design and lead hands-on practical professional development for teachers and staff
- Provide individual and team-based coaching to support the effective use of instructional tools
- Support new teacher onboarding with digital learning orientation and training
- Offer training and resources on emerging technologies and best practices in educational technology
- Establish and lead a Technology Services Steering Committee to align instructional and operational technology initiatives
- Program Development Planning and Policy
- Contribute to the districts Technology Plan and digital learning initiatives
- Help draft policies and procedures for digital learning student data privacy and ethical tech use
- Participate in technology committees and cross-functional planning groups
- Support grant writing and program reporting related to digital learning
4. Application and System Oversight
- Provide instructional support for platforms such as Aspen ParentSquare GoGuardian Clever TeachPoint Savvas and special education software
- Maintain technology resource guides and instructional documentation
- Assist in the management of digital learning tools licenses and inventory
- Assist with data collection and scheduling as needed
- Student and Family Support
- Support families and students with technology orientation accounts and usage
- Promote ethical and responsible technology use among students
- Assist with digital readiness for standardized testing and credentialing
6. Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Administrator of Technology & Facilities or the Principal/Deputy Director
