Qualifications Preferred:.

2. Evidence of satisfactory vocational/community transitional planning and coordination with community organizations for targeted age population within the past five years.
3. Successful teaching experience in planning and implementing programming for moderately - severely disabled students in the targeted age group within the past five years.
4. Successful teaching experience with students with significant behavior disabilities.
5. Previous vocational experience or extended exposure.
6. Physical stamina as required to lift toilet restrain and keep pace with adult age students in the life skills program.

Job Description:
This teacher will provide educational programs for students in Life Skills class settings. The position will be focused on preparing students for successful community integration and functional living skills. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to:
1. Provide appropriate assessment of students functioning in the moderate/severe/multiple disability range.
2. Provide appropriate vocational skill training programs within the program and out in the community.
3. Organize and conduct IEP meetings.
4. Prepare organize implement and supervise Individualized Transition Plans and Individualized Education Program for students in conjunction with IEP team members.

Lifting:The employee must be able to lift or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 26 lbs; must also be able to lift overhead. The employee may be required to physically move quickly in an emergency or while performing student supervision duties.

Physical Hazards:While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to work outdoors in a wide variety of temperatures; from -10 degrees F to 100 degrees F . The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in this work environment is moderate.

Application Procedure: In-District staffmust complete an internal online application by10:00 p.m. (PST) on or before the closing date.In-building/In-district staff will have eight school days or eight working days during the summer to apply for a vacant position through the online application system. The employee may choose but will not be required to meet with the building administrator to understand the building practices procedures and initiatives specific to the position to which they are applying. After eight days if an in-building employee is qualified for the position the principal will offer the employee the position. In the case that more than one in-building employee is interested in a position the position will be offered to the qualified and senior employee. If a position is not filled in-building after the eight day period the position will be offered to the qualified most senior in-district applicant if any. Teachers with a summative evaluation score of 1 or 2 are not eligible to transfer unless agreed upon by the District and Association.
