JOB GOAL:To provide direct instruction in the area of reading for identified groups and individual students with an emphasis on emergent beginning and transitional readers. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: diagnostic testing for students as it relates to reading ability and diagnose the learning styles of students using a variety of assessment techniques and appropriate course of action to remediate students reading and implement sequential learning experiences for students using a variety of instructional strategies consistent with the Districts instructional knowledge and understanding of teaching of reading child growth and development effective instructional strategies learning and assessment and diagnosis and research related to learning and students needing to learn to and communicates high standards and expectations for student equity and appreciation of diversity and strives to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning.8. The teacher demonstrates an appreciation for and sensitivity to the diversity among individuals.9. Fulfills all professional responsibilities10. Cooperates in interactions with parents/guardians and receptive to their contributions.11. Shares responsibility for accomplishing the goals and priorities of his/her grade/team/department building and school district.12. Exercises reflection on teaching and education and embraces the concept of continuous any other duty or assignments as directed by the Content Coordinator Special Education or Principal.
