POSITION SUMMARY
Ohio Christian University seeks an Adjunct Professor of Piano for the Circleville Campus to teach beginning to moderately advanced piano lessons. Most students will be music or worship majors who are working toward proficiency requirements. Worship majors follow their proficiency sequence with a semester of instruction in worship keyboard. Other students enroll in piano lessons for elective credit. Typical enrollment is about 10 half-hour lessons per 15-week semester.
The assignment includes these courses depending on interest and enrollment each semester:
The ideal candidate will have aptitude for teaching both beginning piano and contemporary worship keyboard. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience both in teaching piano especially in higher education and playing in a contemporary worship band or similar setting.
