Job Description
Position Overview:
Enfield Public Schoolsis seeking a passionate and creative Art Educator to join our dynamic team of educators. The ideal candidate will inspire students through a comprehensive visual arts curriculum that fosters creativity critical thinking and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
This position aligns with the Enfield Board of Educations mission to provide a safe nurturing and academically challenging environment where students are empowered to reach their full potential and become responsible self-reliant members of a diverse global society.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging art instruction aligned with state standards and district goals.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity creativity and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Integrate a variety of media techniques and technologies to support student learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues families and the community to support student growth and achievement.
- Promote student participation in exhibitions competitions and community art events.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom that supports all learners.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Teaching Certification in Art PK12 (042).
- Strong knowledge of visual arts content pedagogy and assessment strategies.
- Commitment to fostering a love for learning and the arts in all students.
- Ability to support the districts mission of preparing students to be productive lifelong learners and responsible citizens.
