We are looking for a talented and passionate UX designer to join our growing team in AWS Infrastructure Services. This designer will have a significant impact on our business as they contribute to the design direction for the Amazon Route 53 console experience.
Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable cloud Domain Name System (DNS) web service. It is designed to give developers and businesses a reliable and cost effective way to route end users to internet applications by translating names like into the numeric IP addresses like 192.0.2.1 that computers use to connect to each other. Amazon Route 53 is the DNS for all of Amazon powering all AWS services (such as EC2 S3 RDS CloudFront and Lambda) as well as other Amazon properties. Many AWS customers use Route 53 for their DNS needs and we support some of the largest workloads in the world.
Throughout the strategy design and development lifecycle this designer will work collaboratively with the extended NetServ design team engineers product managers and leadership to evolve Route 53.
Key job responsibilities Create the design of useful usable and desirable products in a team environment. Work with leadership in design planning and goal creation. Understand customers and their needs through market analysis customer research and feedback. Use business requirements to assist in developing use cases and high-level requirements. Design the architecture interface and interaction flow of services and experiences. Develop personas customer journey maps conceptual diagrams wireframes and prototypes. Facilitate the design process present and iterate design solutions. Craft pitch and validate design strategies. Continually iterate and evolve the way we design for and learn from our customers.
- 8 years of design experience - Have an available online portfolio - Experience with design tools such as Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML JavaScript CSS Ajax - Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design - Knowledge of usability principles and techniques - Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature - Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes - Experience with UX design of complex workflows - Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
