Director of Asset Management Rental Equipment Operations
Location: Houston TX Industry: Industrial Services
Were recruiting a Director of Asset Management to lead a national fleet and asset strategy for a well-established high-performing organization in the industrial services and rental sector. This position is ideal for a strategic leader with hands-on experience managing a broad mix of rental assetsfrom large-scale equipment to smaller high-volume toolsacross a multi-location footprint.
This is a critical culture-shifting leadership role responsible for building out and optimizing asset strategies driving utilization and improving operational efficiency.
What Youll Do:
Develop and execute long-term asset lifecycle strategiesfrom acquisition to disposal.
Optimize asset mix availability and utilization based on seasonal demand and operational needs.
Lead daily operations of rental fleet planning performance tracking and equipment logistics.
Build and implement processes around preventative maintenance safety and asset turnaround.
Partner with procurement to support CapEx planning vendor negotiations and fleet acquisition.
Oversee real-time asset visibility and performance tracking across the organization.
Lead and mentor a team of managers technicians and support staff across multiple geographies.
Champion a change-driven culture implementing best practices and data-backed decision-making.
What You Bring:
7 years of leadership in asset or fleet management ideally within rental logistics or industrial services.
Proven experience managing a diverse asset portfolio (large equipment to small tools/devices).
Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle maintenance practices and utilization metrics.
Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and lead across functions and locations.
Solid background in budgeting CapEx/OpEx planning and vendor management.
Proficient with asset tracking software fleet systems and Microsoft Office.
- Six Sigma Lean or process improvement credentials a plus.
Exposure to refining petrochemical or industrial jobsite environments is highly valued.
