About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to diagnose repair and maintain a wide range of heavy diesel vehicles and equipment including trucks and trailers.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Completing job cards and managing workflow administration tasks
- Performing repairs using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
- Staying updated on new technologies and best practices in heavy vehicle mechanics
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed parts used and services performed
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve service goals and meet customer expectations
- Servicing and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles and trailers to industry safety standards
- Conducting comprehensive diagnostic work to identify and resolve mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong teamwork communication and problem-solving skills
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- A reliable work ethic and a commitment to safety and service excellence
- Manual drivers licence HCLicence (for road testing) and AC Licence (desirable)
- A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience working on heavy diesel trucks
