Job Description
Network Technician
We are seeking a Network Technician to perform IP network and low current related work in projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation termination and commissioning of structured cabling systems for optical fiber and copper including UTP network low current cables and more. The Network Technician will also be involved in various tasks such as installing network and server cabinets configuring CCTV and IP camera systems installing access control systems and more.
Responsibilities:
- Perform 1st fix installations including installing pipes conduits cable trays cable ladder floor boxes etc.
- Perform all types of 2nd fix installations
- Splice optical fiber using fusion splicer machine
- Install and configure wireless antennas access points and raised floor systems for data centers
- Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors
- Perform cable tests using cable analyzer
- Troubleshoot network connectivity related incidents
- Prepare site surveys and summit reports on results and requirements
- Create diagrams and layouts using AutoCAD and Visio
Requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma in Computer Hardware Networking Electricity or relevant degree
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Certificates in structured cabling systems preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a network technician
- Ability to use OTDR splicing machine fusion splicer Fluke DSX 5000 and more
- Creative patient hardworking and able to work under pressure
- Good communication skills in English
Working Conditions:
The job may require multitasking and working "other than normal working hours" as requirements dictate.
