Established in 1985 WINGS provides a pathway to independence for people whose lives have been disrupted by domestic violence. WINGS got its start as a non-profit housing agency. We provide emergency safe shelter and transitional housing for survivors of domestic violence. We also help families who are in crisis meet basic needs for items such as food and clothing. WINGS has evolved over time growing so that we are able to help a greater number of people. The mission of WINGS Program Inc. is to provide housing integrated services education and advocacy to end domestic violence.
The Manager of Housing Services is to provide oversight leadership and coordination of WINGS Housing Programs. Obtain feedback from clients and staff on strengthening program services.
Program Oversight & Service Delivery
Oversee the planning coordination and implementation of housing and supportive services across assigned sites.
Ensure services are proactive trauma-informed and consistent with agency values and best practices.
Integrate a strengths-based life-coach model into all aspects of service delivery.
Collaborate with other program managers to support wraparound services and maintain a unified team culture.
Staff Supervision & Training
Provide guidance and support to Family Advocates interns and volunteers while overseeing scheduling timekeeping and expenses. Foster continuous professional growth through regular staff meetings trainings and quality assurance reviews.
Provide clinical support and intervention as needed; serve as an on-call resource for staff addressing resident crises.
Provide supervision for 40-hour training and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as assigned.
Supervise and mentor candidates pursuing ICDVP certification.
Resident Services & Engagement
Conduct phone screenings and in-person interviews to assess applicant eligibility for housing programs.
Deliver direct services including one-on-one support facilitation of support groups emotional support and conflict resolution.
Oversee intakes orientation and case planning.
Coordinate client graduation in collaboration with program staff WINGS finance and development teams.
Compliance Reporting & Documentation
Develop and maintain resident files and documentation systems in compliance with agency and funder requirements while collecting and reporting program data outcome measures and performance indicators.
Conduct periodic evaluations of supportive services to ensure quality effectiveness and resident satisfaction.
Provide relevant program data and financial information to support grant amounts rewarded and program expenditures.
Cross-Department & Community Collaboration
Work closely with all WINGS departments to ensure client needs are met resource alignment and aid in effective communication.
Represent WINGS in the community by actively participating in meetings coalitions speaking engagements and partner initiatives to promote agency services strengthen partnerships and stay informed on best practices while building and maintaining collaborative relationships with service providers.
Additional Responsibilities
Ensure all housing environments are safe healthy and supportive for residents staff and volunteers.
Report suspected child abuse or neglect in compliance with DCFS regulations and agency policy.
Participate in administrative and cross-departmental meetings as needed.
Willing to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred: 5 years work in social services field desirable or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of 3 years experience working with homeless families victims of domestic violence or other trauma related populations required.
Experience in program development and planning and staff supervision preferred.
40-hour domestic violence training and CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.
Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional (ICDVP) Certification preferred.
Bilingual skills (Spanish Polish or Russian) preferred.

Strong working knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite along with excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
Submit to and meet WINGS standards in a criminal and DCFS background check.
Must have a valid drivers license insurance and a clean drivers record.
