AUDITORIUM COORDINATOR

DISTRICTWIDE

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
  2. Evidence of present use and understanding of all aspects of theater production; stage lighting scenery design and construction and stage and sound equipment.
  3. Excellent communication skills.
  4. Ability to work with the public.
  5. Experience and/or demonstrated ability to teach students.
  6. Group facilitation skills.
  7. Knowledge of theater components.
  8. Experience with computer software.

REPORTS TO:Assistant Superintendent of Adult and Secondary Education

SUPERVISES:High School Theater Managers

JOB GOAL: To facilitate and coordinate the effective and safe management of District high school auditoriums.

SALARY: Current - $55000 - $-26 Salary will be based on placement upon salary schedule for Coordinators which is currently being finalized.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with clients to schedule and provide detailed cost estimates for all auditorium rentals.
  • Gives pre and post approval and cost adjustments for auditorium events.
  • Attends/supervises or arranges for supervision of all auditorium events.
  • Orders and maintains all equipment and supplies.
  • Compiles training and safety manuals and procedures for all auditoriums.
  • Oversees training of student workers; maintains a log of trained personnel.
  • Works with and oversees the technical students during the Summer Music Theatre Program in cooperation with the SMT director.
  • Schedules student workers for auditorium events.
  • Verifies and approves time cards for student workers and theater managers.
  • Coordinates usage and storage of auditorium items.
  • Assistsas technical director forthe two fall plays and springmusicals for the high school productions.
  • Serves as supervisor for the high school theater managers.
  • Works with high school administration on specific administration run events such as opening day graduation honors convocation etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Adult and Secondary Education.
