Position Overview:
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Videographer (CS25-252) to join the University Marketing and Communications (UMC) team. This position plays a key role in supporting the universitys visual storytelling efforts by capturing and producing high-quality video content for promotional digital and social media use.
The Videographer is responsible for planning filming editing organizing and archiving video content to support UMCs strategic marketing efforts as well as requests from the broader campus community. The role also includes managing event video coverage providing estimates for services and ensuring timely delivery of final products. Collaboration with colleagues in UMC including the Marketing Director Marketing Specialist Digital Media Designer Digital Content Strategist and Director of Communications is central to this position.
What Youll Be Doing:
Film and edit high-quality video content for university marketing campaigns promotional videos social media platforms and digital strategy initiatives.
Capture and organize b-roll and video footage to be stored in the UMC Portfolio video library.
Coordinate and provide video event coverage services across campus including pre-production planning and post-production editing.
Communicate with campus clients regarding video work order requests timelines service estimates and invoicing.
Collaborate with UMC team members to support timely and relevant video content for university marketing and branding efforts.
Assist with the creation of quick-turnaround social media video content to support spot campaigns and digital storytelling.
Ensure consistent video quality brand compliance and accessibility standards across all video products.
Maintain video equipment and software and stay current on video production trends and tools.

Illinois Residency Requirement:Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position.
Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Drivers License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days will result in immediate termination of employment.
