Job Description

Job Description Summary

The Executive Sourcing Leader for MICT Supply Chain has primary ownership for supplier selection program material costs and all timing deliverables for their programs. This role partners with Engineering Category Managers Supplier Quality and Development and Suppliers to drive optimal material costs including alignment with category strategies for supply base optimization and lowest total acquisition cost throughout the program life. The scope of the job includes managing $1 billion spend 900 suppliers worldwide across 8 design and 15 manufacturing sites with the active support of the extended sourcing team.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Strategic Supplier Management:

  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships that align with GE Healthcares vision and long-term objectives.
  • Drive the sourcing strategy for each SBU product segment to deliver a competitive advantage including supplier selection development and consolidation.
  • Partner with Global Category Teams to translate sourcing strategies into actionable plans and manage sourcing deliverables throughout the product lifecycle.

Cost and Negotiation Management:

  • Develop strategies and drive negotiations for best up-front prices leveraging should cost models and driving total cost down year over year.
  • Track BOM cost impact from business award through end of life and manage design changes through ECR process with strong communication to category and costing resources.

Supplier Development and Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with Supplier Development and Supplier Quality to manage the flow of materials per project requirements.
  • Analyze supplier capacity and capability to ensure their ability to supply parts with ongoing adjustment of material flow for adequate line fill and inventory optimization.

Procurement Strategy and Compliance:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with overall business objectives and long-term vision.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies driving initiatives to enhance sustainability ethical sourcing practices and diversity within the supply chain.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Utilize data analytics and technology to improve procurement efficiency decision-making and track cost impact.
  • Lead efforts to innovate and improve procurement processes leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Leadership and Budget Management:

  • Manage the procurement budget ensuring cost-effective spending and financial accountability.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to senior leadership on procurement and overall MICT ISC strategy-related matters.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and assessments of procurement activities to ensure alignment with business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelors degree in Engineering Procurement Supply Chain Management or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience:Minimum of 10 years of experience in Engineering Sourcing Operations or Supply Chain with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Extensive global experience leading cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Skills:Proven Executive Leadership skills in driving global change across an organization including strong Change Acceleration Process skills. Demonstrated ability to lead courageously maintaining a strong position amidst opposition to resolve important issues and ability to navigate through a large complex business. Strong analytical negotiation and communication skills. Ability to drive results via fact-based negotiations. Ability to prioritize and manage cost-out projects against scope schedule and budget. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced global environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

While GE HealthCare does not currently require U.S. employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 some GE HealthCare customers have vaccination mandates that may apply to certain GE HealthCare employees.
