Position Details:

Job Role: Business Development Lead


Experience Required : 10-15 years in a similar role. 5-8 years of experience in the GCC of which at least 3 years in Qatar on a similar role.

Experience with Qatar Energy NOC Qatar Energy LNG Shell GTL Dolphin Energy Oryx GTL Q-Chem QAPCO QAFCO etc.


Location : Qatar


Education: BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering


MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN OIL AND GAS SECTOR




Role Summary:

  • The primary objective of this role is to support the Country Manager ft Corporate
  • Business Development manager in increasing companys profile and securingbusiness in Qatar.
  • The candidate is expected to establish a close relationship with key stakeholders with customers generate new leads follow up on existing leads and support tendering and contract acquisition.


  • The successful candidate will set-up meetings with our customers partners and other industry contacts on regular basis to gather market intelligence secure leads and follow-up on opportunities.
  • The candidate is expected to work on client registrations pre-qualifications expression of interest submissions technical tender support technical proposal writing maintaining registrations updating the technical library and communicating with clients regarding vendor registration and pre-qualification.
  • The ideal candidate should have an engineering background and prior experience in the proposals or business development department of oil and gas contractors in the Middle East region.
  • Strong proficiency in Business English with excellent writing skills is a must.



Key Responsibilities:

  • New client development enhancing business with existing clients and introduction of new services.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities industry trends and competitive intelligence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering procurement and project management to gather relevant information and ensure alignment in business development activities.
  • Client registrations including new registrations and renewals ensuring compliance with necessary documentation and requirements.
  • Preparation of pre-qualification documents and expression of interest submissions ensuring accuracy and adherence to client specifications.
  • Support the technical tender process including coordinating with relevant departments to gather necessary information compiling technical documentation and ensuring timely submission.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and technical teams to develop technical proposals that effectively address client requirements and showcase the companys capabilities.
  • Prepare marketing write-ups brochures and other associated materials to support business development activities and enhance the companys brand image.
  • Maintain various registrations related to the company including vendor registration and pre-qualification databases ensuring up-to-date information and compliance with client requirements.
  • Update the technical library including experience lists and qualifications to showcase the companys capabilities and expertise.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with clients regarding vendor registration pre-qualification and other business development-related inquiries.
  • - Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of required inputs for proposals and other business development-related activities.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in industry conferences exhibitions and client meetings to enhance the companys visibility and build relationships with potential clients.
  • Maintain a database of leads contacts and client interactions to track and report on business development activities
  • Proven experience in the proposals or business development department of oil and gas contractors in the Middle East region.
  • Strong proficiency in preparing technical tenders proposals marketing write-ups and associated materials.
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English with strong business writing skills.
  • Familiarity with the oil and gas sector including understanding of industry standards regulations and client requirements.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to understand complex engineering concepts and translate them into clear and compelling proposals.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and communicate with clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.
  • Familiarity with CRM software or similar tools for lead management and tracking.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while also functioning well in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically to identify and pursue business.
