Role Summary:
The Surgeon is responsible for managing patient care before during and after surgery within a multidisciplinary clinical team. Additionally the Surgeon will provide clinical leadership within surgical facilities supporting the Regional Medical Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform surgical interventions including damage control surgery and emergency procedures to deliver life limb and function-saving treatment.
- Direct and coordinate activities of nurses specialists and other medical staff.
- Recognize and document medical conditions and surgical risks.
- Stabilize and support casualties before evacuation by air or land in collaboration with the ER clinical team if required.
- Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure all medical records are properly maintained.
- Provide clinical reporting.
- Support clinical mentoring for staff development.
- Ensure best practices in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs.
- Support the clinical excellence framework under the direction of the Regional Medical Director.

Qualifications :
Qualifications & Experience:
- A University Degree in Medicine with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- A specialist qualification and/or formal education in Surgery.
- Up-to-date clinical knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in surgical procedures.
Essential Capabilities:
- Ability to remain calm and effective under high-stress conditions.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including both clinical and non-clinical personnel.
