Job Description/Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment programmable logic controllers (PLC) and variable frequency drives (VFD)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with machinery utilizing your strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Identify and resolve PLC-related problems utilizing your PLC troubleshooting skills
- Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities including work orders and equipment logs
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications/Requirements
- 2 years of prior Maintenance or Mechanic work experience required
- Completion of at least one of the following degrees: Industrial Electrician Industrial Maintenance Electrical Mechanic Automated Industrial Technician or similar degree
- Completion of courses in Basic Electricity National Electrical Code Electrical Motor Controls I Electrical Motor Control Lab I Basic Blueprint Reading Electrical Motor Control II Electrical Motor Control Lab II Programmable Logic Controllers and/or Programmable Logic Control Lab
- Successful completion of Electrical Capstone
- Ability to work afternoon or night shift for the foreseeable future and weekend overtime (as needed)
- Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair machinery issues
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of machine safety inspections and adherence to safety regulations
