Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery improvement research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.
DEPARTMENT
The Surgical Services Program comprises ofseventeen surgical units anaesthesia and perioperative medicine two operating suites two surgical inpatient wards a medical day unit day of surgery admissions day surgery and endoscopy services.
POSITION
The PSC Manager is responsible for the management of key staff and services involved in the coordination of a patients journey to surgery including preparation list management for surgery patient scheduling and operationalising the preadmission clinic. They also oversee the Vascular Laboratory (Vasc Lab) in consultation with the Vasc Lab Business manager and Perioperative coordinator for Vascular / kidney transplant/ renal access and ensure the provision of sonography service.
The Manager is responsible for the management of the Alfred theatre schedule allocation and closure of surgical lists and management of leave. This is in collaboration with the Deputy Director of Planned surgery & Ambulatory Services Nurse Managers of Theatres Anaesthetic Department and the Director of Operations.
