DescriptionTheResearch Engineer III applies engineering methods theories and principles to effectively and cost-efficiently produce new products or modify old products. The position serves as a shared technology resource in research support technology advancement initiatives product development and cost reduction activities across the company.
This position will serve ourAirDivision located inFort Smith AR (hybrid).
Responsibilities- Construct development paths and evaluate technical solutions to new concepts including alternatives of cost timing and risks.
- Create computer based simulations in the prediction of fluid flow heat transfer fluid-structural interactions and structural systems for the advancement and analysis of heating and cooling products.
- Devise methods of test coordinate implementation of experiments evaluate test results in comparisons to predicted outcomes and prepare research summaries contextually relevant to the business.
- Investigate applicability of new technologies for product valuation benefits to the company and/or customer.
- Collaborate with development groups in translating new concepts to project initiatives.
Qualifications- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Applied Physics or Applied Mathematics
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the analysis modeling validation and practical application of computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis tools
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
HOW TO STAND OUT:
- PhD or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering Applied Physics or Applied Mathematics.
